Your wedding day is a very special day. There are so many things to focus on. Emotions are flowing and you want to make sure that all those special moments are captured. This is where a good wedding photographer comes in. She or he can be there recording your day and capturing those emotions for you to cherish for the rest of your life.

As a wedding photographer, my goal is to record your day, but make sure that the love and the emotions are captured. My style is mostly resembles photojournalism. As the day unfolds, I photograph what arises and focus on the details as well as make sure to get the overall feeling of this special event.

As an Oregon wedding photographer, I travel all over Oregon, from the Coast to Portland, the wine country, Albany, Corvallis, Salem, Eugene and any other city.

Living in Bend Oregon is like living in a dream. Living as an Oregon wedding photographer and portrait photographer is living out this dream every day. My love for photography began in my early twenties when I decided to travel around the world for a year. I bought my first camera and took pictures of the most amazing people in the most exquisite places.

I was pulled to visit the Himalayas in Nepal , small villages in India and at one point I found myself very deep in the jungles of Borneo Malaysia . I was intrigued by all the beautiful people and could not stop taking pictures of the people rather than the landscape.

After traveling for a year, I decided to come back home to the US . However, the travel bug did not leave me, I decided to backpack again, this time focusing on Central and South America . My travels took me to exotic places like Cuba as well as the Amazon. (I’m a jungle girl at heart you see)

When all my travels were over, I noticed a pattern among the hundreds of images that I took. Without realizing it, I was trying to tell various stories with my images. None were posed. Most were shots of people on the street, cooking, riding on a donkey or doing what they do as part of their normal every day life. I did not learn this style anywhere, it is what was organically happening through my lens.

I am deeply drawn to people, their faces, theirs stories, their lives. My love for understanding humans pulled me to graduate school. I graduated with a degree in eastern and western psychology.

I strive to bring out what is inside an individual. The photos that I strive to take are emotional. Each person is unique and the energy that he or she exudes is very distinct to that individual. A group takes on it’s own energy that is very unique and distinct to the people in it. It is my desire to express that energy in a photograph, so when someone looks at the photograph, they can feel it with their heart, not just see it with their eyes.

As an Oregon wedding photographer, I focus on this unique areas, but I will travel to other locations as well.
